Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a central government scheme that pays eligible farmer families ₹6,000 a year, in three instalments of ₹2,000, straight into their bank account.
To receive an instalment, eKYC must be complete and the bank account must be linked to Aadhaar. eKYC can be done on the PM-KISAN portal with an OTP, or with a fingerprint at a nearby Common Service Centre (CSC). State governments verify land records.

How to check
- Open the official portal pmkisan.gov.in.
- Go to "Know Your Status".
- Enter your registration number (if you don't know it, find it with "Know your registration number" using your mobile or Aadhaar).
- Enter the OTP to see your instalments and eKYC status.
