About

Recruitment to Uttar Pradesh Police posts such as constable, sub-inspector, jail warder, fireman and radio staff is run by the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB).

A recruitment usually has several stages: online application, a written exam, document verification with physical standards and efficiency tests (PST/PET), and a medical. Eligibility, age limits and the number of posts are given in each recruitment’s own advertisement, so read it in full before applying.

Kasba watches the board’s official notices. When a new one comes out, a plain-language story about it appears at the top of this page.
